SALARY: DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE

WORKING WEEK: 38HRS/WK MON-FRI 8:00AM-5PM INCL. 1 HOUR UNPAID LUNCH

The firm was founded in 2000 and was originally operated by Mr Geoffrey Miller (deceased) himself. The firm is now operated and managed by Miss Jeanette Miller, also known as ‘Miss Justice!’

Jeanette acts in defending motoring prosecutions amongst many high profile figures and regularly contributes to supplying specialist motoring comments in newspapers, magazines, TV and radio.

If you succeed with your application, you will be part of our dynamic team of adminstrators based at our NEW head office in Media City, Salford; a modern waterfront destination in Manchester with creativity, leisure and a vibrant atmosphere.

What work will I be doing? What responsibilities will I have?

The successful candidate will be working within the Legal Administration department to provide administrative support to the firm’s legal team which will include but is not limited to:

  • Completing administrative duties as agreed by Coordinator;
  • Greeting clients and reception duties;
  • Filing, scanning and photocopying;
  • Ordering stationery and beverages;
  • Dealing with post and DX;
  • Dealing with confidential information;
  • Providing excellent customer service skills;
  • Taking and logging new enquiries;
  • Opening and maintaining client files;
  • Receiving & making telephone calls, recording and passing on accurate messages;
  • Designing and producing documents;
  • Supporting the running of projects, including events;
  • Extensive diary management;
  • Researching information;
  • Collating briefs to Counsel;
  • Taking and chasing payments;
  • Billing;
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues, chambers and experts;
  • Communicating effectively with people;
  • Attentive to detail and presentation; and
  • Working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Training to be provided:

In depth job-specific training through working alongside experienced legal staff

Future Prospects:

Upon successful completion of the probationary period, you may be awarded with a permanent position within the Legal Administration team with opportunities to develop and progress your career. Geoffrey Miller Solicitors offer an in house progression plan which is open to all employees and include various career paths.
